Three things people actually scheduled
Concrete examples to picture before signing up.
Weekly sales report
Every Monday, someone exports last week's numbers from the CRM, copies them into slides, fixes the formatting, swaps the chart, and sends to the team. 45 minutes a week.
A schedule connected to the sales sheet rebuilds the slides every Monday at 8 AM. Numbers update. Charts re-render. The link in the team Slack channel always points to the latest version.
Monthly board metrics
On the 1st, the founder pulls KPIs from three dashboards, copies them into the standing board template, hand-aligns the chart axes, and re-uploads the presentation to the board folder.
A schedule pulls from a single public dashboard URL on the 1st of each month. The board folder link always shows the latest presentation. The hour saved goes back to product work.
Daily news digest
Every morning, someone scans the same three industry news pages, picks the top 5 stories, summarizes each, drops them into the standing morning-briefing template, and shares the slides with the team.
A schedule reads the three news URLs every weekday at 7 AM and rebuilds the briefing presentation. By the time the team opens it, the latest stories are already in.
How it works
Four short steps. Two minutes the first time. Zero minutes every time after.
Connect a data source
Point to a Google Sheet tab or paste any public URL. The generator parses the structure on the first run.
Choose a cadence
Daily, weekly, or monthly. Pick the day, the time, and the timezone. Pause or change later from the dashboard.
Pick a theme
Every run uses the same theme so the slides stay visually consistent over time. Change the theme once and all future runs use the new one.
Done. It runs itself
A short email arrives each time a new presentation is ready. The dashboard shows every schedule with its next run, last run, and status. Pause or edit any time.
The time math
Manual rebuild vs. scheduled, over a year.
Common questions
What is a scheduled presentation?
A scheduled presentation is a slide presentation that regenerates automatically on a recurring cadence (daily, weekly, or monthly) using the latest data from a connected source. Once configured, the slides rebuild themselves without manual intervention.
Which data sources are supported?
Google Sheets and any public URL that returns readable data or HTML. The generator parses the source, extracts the structured information, and rebuilds the slides with the latest numbers. CSV upload is on the roadmap.
Can the schedule be paused or edited?
Yes. Each schedule can be paused, edited (cadence, source, theme, data), or deleted at any time from the Scheduled Presentations dashboard. Past generated presentations remain available even after a schedule is paused.
How much does it cost?
Scheduled presentations are free, just like every other feature on SlideMaker.app. No credit limits, no trial, no upgrade prompts.
Who can see the generated slides?
Only the schedule owner, unless the resulting presentation is explicitly shared via a public link. Each regenerated presentation inherits the share settings of the previous one.
What happens if the data source goes offline?
The scheduled run logs an error but does not affect the next scheduled attempt. The dashboard shows the last successful run and the last error, making it easy to spot a broken source.
Can the theme be changed mid-schedule?
Yes. Editing a schedule lets you pick a new theme, and the next run will apply it. Previously generated presentations keep their original theme.
Is there an email notification when a new presentation is ready?
Yes. The schedule owner receives a short email each time a new presentation is generated, with a direct link to view and edit it.
