Slidemaker Bullet Formatting Tutorial
To edit bullet points in Slidemaker on any of your slide, do the following:
- Choose the slide you want to edit.
- On that current slide, click on the ‘properties’ option, which is the first option on the list of features located on the right side of the slide.
- On choosing the properties options, you will see various types of bullet points.
- First you will see the current bullet style used. In the demo below the style currently used is ‘checkmarks’. Then below it, you will see other options you can choose from.

- Depending on why you want to change the bullet style or even add, try the styles available, then choose the most appropriate.
- In this case we changed the bullet style to the ‘numbered’ style and you can see the changes below.

In the image below we also change the bullet point style to a 3-column style. This way we choose a bullet style that allows our text not to be covered by the flowery image in the slide background. Hence our audience can see the text properly.

You can try out other styles while creating your own presentation.
Tips for Choosing the Right Bullet Style
When you edit bullet points in Slidemaker, aim for clarity and consistency. Here’s what to keep in mind:
- Match Your Theme
Use bullets that fit your slide design. Simple dots work best for clean, modern layouts, while icons or symbols suit creative or branded presentations. - Keep It Readable
Choose bullet sizes and colors that are easy to see but don’t overpower your text. Avoid flashy or oversized symbols. - Stay Consistent
Use the same bullet style across all slides. Too many variations can make your presentation look messy. - Use Color Wisely
Stick to subtle colors that match your brand. Ensure enough contrast so your bullets are visible on any background. - Show Hierarchy
Use slightly different bullet styles for main points and sub-points to make your structure clear.
